NTB to host 69 events in 2026, with 4 included to National Calendar

Indonesia’s West Nusa Tenggara province has officially launched its 2026 Calendar of Events, featuring 69 activities scheduled throughout the year, with four selected for the national tourism program, officials said.

The four events have been included in the Karisma Event Nusantara (KEN), a flagship calendar curated by the Ministry of Tourism, highlighting festivals with strong cultural appeal and tourism potential.

The selected events are Rimpu Mantika (April 25–27), Alunan Budaya Pringgasela (July 10–17), Gili Fest (Aug. 10–12), and Maulid Adat Bayan (Aug. 28–30).

Officials said the events showcase the region’s diverse cultural heritage, ranging from traditional customs in Bima to arts and crafts in East Lombok, as well as marine tourism festivals in the Gili islands and indigenous rituals in Bayan, North Lombok.

The full calendar, which spans multiple districts and cities across the province, is expected to help drive tourism and support regional economic growth.

Beyond cultural promotion, the events are also seen as an opportunity to boost small businesses, creative industries, as well as the hospitality and transportation sectors.

Authorities expressed optimism that the 2026 calendar will strengthen West Nusa Tenggara’s position as a leading tourism destination for both domestic and international visitors.
